Mack Signs team at work

Mack Signs is a traditional signwriting and mural painting business based in north Co. Dublin, led by Cormac Dillon. They work throughout the country painting traditional shopfronts, gilding with genuine gold leaf on glass and painting large scale lettering based murals.

Their style is varied from using clean modern design principles to decorative letter styles embellishing them with shading and shadows and colours. Cormac has a strong passion for the artform and will always go above and beyond to create outstanding work.

Railway Heritage

A railway blueprint becomes a work of public art. Mack Signs’ mural depicts the design of the GNR Slieve Donard 172 steam engine, recalling the skilled workers and locomotives of Dundalk’s Great Northern Railway works.

Robert Burns/Sweet Afton

Mack Signs connects Robert Burns’ Sweet Afton with a local family story. The poet’s sister Agnes lived near Dundalk and is buried at St Nicholas’ Church, beside this mural. Traditional lettering turns the wall into a tribute to poetry and the town’s Scottish connections.
